It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ed Saunders Sr. of Taneytown, Maryland, born in Dover, Delaware, who passed away on July 24, 2020, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph William Saunders, Sr. and Mary Catherine Saunders (Linsenmeyer); his wife Teresa Saunders (Miller); his brother James Saunders; his father-in-law David Miller; and his brother-in-law Bill Topper.
He is survived by: his sons, Edward Charles "Eddie" Saunders, Jr. (Krystal) of Taneytown and Andrew Joseph "Andy" Saunders (Elisabeth) of Frankinton, NC; his siblings, Joe Saunders of Glen Burnie, Bobby "Tom" Saunders (Diane) of Taneytown, John Saunders (Debbie) of Taneytown, George Saunders (Theresa) of Glen Burnie, Joanie Fiester (Larry) of Taneytown, Peggy Topper of Taneytown and Mary Jenkins (Wade) of Taneytown; his mother-in-law Louise Miller of Taneytown; and his grandchildren, Nathan, Dylan, Kaylee, Addison and Riley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private graveside service and burial will be held at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery with Deacon Charles E. Barnhart, Jr. officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ed's name may be made to the William E. Kahlert Regional Cancer Center, 291 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
