He was predeceased by: his father Thomas H. Sands. He is survived by: his mother Mary A. Sands (Creager); his siblings, Thomas W. Sands (Martha) of Fishers, IN and Cynthia S. Ogden of Taneytown, MD; his nephews, William Ogden of Hyattsville, MD and Kenneth Ogden of Irvine, CA; and his uncles, Richard Creager (Sue Andrew) of Taneytown, MD and Donald Creager (Nancy) of Thurmont, MD. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
