It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Chester Pearce of Taneytown, Maryland, who passed away on August 4, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his brother George Hamilton Pearce; and his son-in-law Andrew Wertz. He is survived by: his uncle Shell; his children, Dana Wertz of Hanover, PA., Doug Pearce of Taneytown, MD and Daryl Pearce (Sandy Crowe) of Taneytown, MD; his siblings, Ruby Bellison (Bob) of Damascus, MD, Roscoe Milton Pearce of Damascus, MD and Harry Alvin Pearce (June) of Mount Airy, MD; and his grandchildren, Chad Eyler, Maxwell Wertz, Nikolas Wertz, Alexander Wertz, Tyson Wertz, Felicia Pearce, Heather Pearce, Rachel Hahn and Robbie Bowers. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
