She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Brandon and Janet Flanagan Brandon. She is survived by: her husband George Gessell; her son Adam Hobbs; and her brother Ralph Brandon (Kathy).

She enjoyed working alongside the Alzheimer's patients and families, as well as gardening and birdwatching.
