He is survived by: his children, Jerry McCoy (Diana) of Ohio, Sarah Byars (Dublin) of Virginia, Toshio Lee (Delma) of California, Darline Merriwether (Tim) of Maryland, Samuel Whiting (Penelope) of Maryland, Patricia Diggs (Kenneth) of Maryland and Kenneth Whiting (LaShon) of Maryland. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
