It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys Jean Nolan of Takoma Park, Maryland, who passed away on August 11, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gladys Jean Nolan to pay them a last tribute.
She is survived by: her children, Lorraine Reed Birks, John William Reed, Jr. and Gregory James Reed; her children-in-law, James Vernon Clatterbuck, III, Christel H. Reed and Lee Ann Stedman Reed; her grandsons, James Michael Birks, John Christopher Birks and John William Reed, III; her great grandchildren, James Douglas Birks, Michael Broderick Birks, William Christopher Birks, Collin Michael Birks, Victoria Way Birks, Aubrey Vaughan Birks and Starr Kytta Birks; her brother William Edward Doolan; her daughter Melody Nolan Tippett Smith; and her grandsons, Keith and Christopher Tippett. She is also survived by mother were constantly together shopping, going out to lunch, visiting the beauty parlor weekly… Most of her large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins.
We were also able to visit through her window during the long COVID lockdown.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to the Alzheimer's Association (225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601), or memorial tributes can be made for the planting of Memorial Trees.
