It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christopher Columbus Snipes Jr. of Takoma Park, Maryland, who passed away on April 2, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Christopher Columbus Snipes Sr. and Fannie Alberta Snipes; and his siblings, Dorthine Speight, Fremon Snipes, Gerald Snipes, Eddie Snipes and Douglas Snipes.
He is survived by: his wife Glenda Faye Saunders Snipes; his children, Christopher Maurice Cooper, Karol Ann Wonsom and Katrieia Nichele Jones; his stepchildren, Kenneth Wonsom, Wayne Wonsom and Cheryl Abbott; his grandchildren, Dalonta Wonsom, Brian Wonsom, Bryana Wonsom, Autumn Snipes and Christian Poke; his sister Shelia V. Locke; his nieces and nephews, Darryl Coleman, Johnathan Coleman, Titus Coleman, Jarrell Speight, Kevin Snipes, Leslie Locke Jr., Kiahnna Burney and Patrice Smith; his great grandchild Serenity Wonsom; his aunts, Juanita Hooper and Everleen Fox; and his cousin Shirley Reid. He is also survived by other cousins, relatives, and friends.
