He was predeceased by: his parents, Jotham Maina Muchiri and Millicent Nyambura Maina; and his siblings, David Gichu, Nelly Wanjiru, George Gichimu, Julius Kirugo, Josephine Wangechi, Jack Justus Githaiga, Jedidah Nyaihiga and Andrew Muriithi.
He is survived by: his children, Nelly Lynn Nyambura Muchiri, Jessica Nyambura Muchiri and Anthony Maina Muchiri Jr.; his grandchildren, Veronique Wanjiru and Laurel Wandia; and also, Daniel Kariuki, John Mbuthia and Kesiah Wangari. He is also survived by his cousins, aunties and uncles.
