He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Robert Leon Runkles; his wife Sharon Runkles; his children, Stephanie Ely (Daniel), Steven A. Runkles, Jr. (Nikki) and Sara Handwerger (Josh); his grandchildren, Olivia Ely, Colton Ely, Rowan Runkles, Rylynn Runkles and Nolan Ely; his brother Robert R. Runkles; his grandparents, Raymond and Blanche Maring; and his mother-in-law Theressa Jane Jones. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
