He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Edward Haines, Sr. and Gladys Marie Milter Haines; his son William E. Haines; and his siblings, Claude E. Haines, Betty Collins, Peggy Hollen and Dorothy Utz.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Sue Snyder Haines; his son Kenneth D. (Gerri Haines, Jr.); his sister Barbara Beck; and his grandchildren, Taylor Tyser (Austin) and Levi Haines. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
