He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Leroy Colson and Barbara Jane Colson; his grandson Boe Johnson; his sister Linda Taggart; and the mother of his children Patrica Freeman Lewis.
He is survived by: his children, Jana (Adam Hall), Howard Colson, Jr. (Heather), Emily Colson (Branden Johnson) and Lukas Freeman; and his siblings, Gail Porter, Deborah Boone (Danny), Betty Harrison (Terry), Dennis Colson, Ricky Colson (Karen), Charles Colson (Betty) and Bonnie Colson.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Winfield Fire Hall (1320 W Old Liberty Rd, Sykesville, MD 21784). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at the same location.
