She was predeceased by: her parents, James O'Brien and Annie O'Brien (Buckle); her husband Paul Eugene Shaffer; her siblings, Helen Bittinger (Ed), Bertha Keller (George), Blanche Brant (Jack), Mae Cooper (Charles), Mildred DeWitt (Paul), Harry O'Brien (Gladys), Arthur "Bob" O'Brien (Beulah), Jimmie O'Brien, George O'Brien (Patsy) and Carlton O'Brien; and her brother-in-law Ralph Shaffer (Margaret).
She is survived by: her daughter Linda Fike (Emerson "Buck") of Oakland; her grandsons, Chad Fike (Crystal) of Oakland and Ryan Fike (Angela Casper) of Chicago, IL; and her sister-in-law Lorene Upperman. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
