It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald M. Dowell of Sunderland, Maryland, born in Prince Frederick, Maryland, who passed away on February 19, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Madeline Dowell and Malcolm Dowell; and his sisters, Eula Mae McCready (Emmett), Virginia Mishou (Joe) and Agnes Allegra (Tony).
He is survived by: his wife Grace H. Dowell; and his children, Dinah Dowell Ostenso (Jeff) of Annapolis, MD, Sarah Ashley Dowell (Tara) of Frederick, MD, Jessica Slater (Brian) of Ellicott City, MD and Matthew Calvin (Amy) of King George, VA.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
