She was predeceased by: her parents, Julian Smith and Mary Smith; her brother Julian Smith; and her husband Ernest Edward Bennett, Sr.. She is survived by: her brother Joseph; and her children, Irving, Jeanette (Kenneth), Juanita (Alphonso), Ernest, Jr. (Ellen), James (Judy), Joseph (Marinda), Earl, Alvin (Dorothy), Jerome and Eric (Vanessa). She is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
