She was predeceased by: her parents, William Carpenter and Esther "Cook" Carpenter; her son William "Billy" Allen McGuire; and her brothers, Ralph Carpenter, Richard Carpenter and Reece Carpenter.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lori Ann Bell (Dave) of Tennessee and Tammy Short (Rick) of Millington; her siblings, Roberta Pratt of Clayton, DE, Ruth Ann Cahall (Tom) of Townsend, DE, Raymond Carpenter (Norma Jean) of Goldsboro, MD and Roy Carpenter (Vickie) of Sudlersville, MD; and her close friend Janet Thompson. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
