He was predeceased by: his parents, George H. Leager and Virginia "Thompson" Leager; his sons, George "Ricky", Arthur (James Leager) and Jean Ann Miller; and his brothers, Clifton and Larry Leager.
He is survived by: his wife Nola Leager of Sudlersville, MD; his children, Steven Leager of Sudlersville, MD, Laura Dove of Florida and Trish Savidge of Arizona; and his sisters, Mary Layton of Harrington, DE, Anne Boyles of Marydel, MD, Beverly Poore of Earlville, MD, Brenda Hahn of Sudlersville, MD and Barb Wallace of Sudlersville, MD. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren.
