He is survived by: his mother Betty Smith Shelby (Bill Shelby); his wife Ida Gorman Dilks; his children, Ashlie Marshall of Wilmington, DE, Stephanie Smith (Brian) and Will Calder (Justine) of Sudlersville, MD; his grandchildren, Josephine, Wyatt, Jayce, Austin, Noah, Rebekah, Brice and Mia; and his brother Jim Shelby of Hurlock, MD..
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hicks Home For Funerals (103 Stockton St, Elkton, MD 21921). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at the Gilpin Manor Memorial Park (198 Appleton Rd, Elkton, MD 21921).
