She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernst Paul Richard Schipke and Margarethe Helene Emilie Buettner. She is survived by: her husband Bruce; her sons, Jan-Erik (Dianna) and Sven (Sumiyo); and her granddaughters, Sarah and Kristina. She is also survived by nephews and nieces.
