Shirley Ann Smith Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Ann Smith of Solomons, Maryland, who passed away on January 21, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, J. Lloyd Hopkins and Blanche Wayson Hopkins; and her siblings, John Hopkins (Jack), Robert Hopkins (Bobby), James Hopkins (Jim), Richard Hopkins (Dick) and Mary Elizabeth Hopkins Moore (Betty).
She is survived by: her husband Charles Noel Dupont Smith; her daughters, Cynthia Lou Silas (Cindy), Rebecca Smith Kennedy (Becky) and Jennifer Lee Swatling (Jenni); her grandchildren, Kevin Alexander Silas, Daniel Philip Silas (Danny), Spencer Ross Kennedy, Connor Hopkins Swatling, Scott Wade Swatling, Rue Noel Kennedy and Clark Chapman Swatling; and also, Alexander Wolf Silas (Alex), Edward Fox Silas (Teddy) and Kay Raven Silas-Reida.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church (50 Alexander La, Solomons, MD 20688). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
