Madelyn Garris Obituary
The memory of Madelyn Garris of Solomons, Maryland, who passed away on February 4, 2025 at the age of 99, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Westlake Boomhower and Mabel Kronstrom Boomhower; her husband Frederick Barrett Garris; her son Frederick Westlake Garris; and her siblings, Mary Colliton, Veronica Eckholm, Nellie Slager and Eddie Boomhower.
She is survived by: her children, Claudia Garris McMillan of Prospect, VA, David Garris of Solomons Island, MD and Jeffrey Garris of California, MD; her grandchildren, Amber Garris Richardson (Scott) of Va, Daniel Garris of Glen Burnie, MD and Sarah McMillan King (Andrew) of Charleston, SC.; her great grandchildren, Brooke Morgan, Holly Morgan, Austin Richardson, Paige Richardson, Sullivan King and Brooks King; and her great great grandchildren, Jenesis Taylor and Jaiden Taylor. She is also survived by many loving nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hollywood United Methodist Church (2442 Mervell Dean Road, Hollywood, MD 20636). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
