He was predeceased by: his daughter Laurel Phillips (Dyke); and his sister Gladys Gatlin (Dyke). He is survived by: his wife Barbara Williams Dyke; and his children, Kermit R. Dyke, Jr. (Marty) of Westfield, NJ, Robert L. Dyke of Afton, VA, Patricia D. Miller (Jeff) of Durango, CO and Joanne C. Astin (Bill) of Mechanicsville, VA. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
