Williams) of Annapolis, MD, Jeannie, Dean White of Lusby, MD, Kenneth E. Appel, Jr. (Noura Basel) of Little Orleans, MD and Chris J. Appel (Wendy M. Appel) of Lusby, MD; his grandchildren, Solange A. Long (Mark J. Long), Nina Kasper (Brian E. Kasper), Jayden T. McDaniel and Rami Markolopous; and his great grandchildren, Logan Long and Finnley.

“To the Appel family, I will always remember Ken Appel from my days in Solomons, MD. I arrived at NSWC Solomons Facility as a young NAVY sailor. He was always cheerful and almost protective of my roommate and me. I had been out to their home a few times and sent Christmas cards to the family for years after I left there. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him. He was truly one of a kind!!”
