He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn Ann Maserick Hammett of Solomon's, MD.; his siblings, Bernard Hammett, John Hammett, Rita Dallavale and Mary Fuchs; and his children, Albert Frances Hammett (Sandy) and Martha Madeline Hammett Welsh.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas Carolyn (late Laurie), David, Mark and Joan Giavasis; and his grandchildren, Casey, Danny, Jason, Denise, Jennifer, Francesca, Megan, Joseph, Nicholas, Veronica, Benjamin, Beatrice, Julia and Francis Xavier.
