It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Likely Sr. of Smithsburg, Maryland, born in New York, New York, who passed away on February 26, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas J. Likely and Theresa McCarthy (Munro); and his sister Maureen Janscar. He is survived by : his wife Laura Likely; his sons, Thomas J. Likely Jr. (Kelly), David P. Likely (Alison Goff) and Brandon M. Magaha; his grandchildren, Darrel, Andrew, Shawn, Ashley, Noah, Elizabeth, Liam, Charlotte and Gage; and his siblings, Kevin McCarthy (Shirley), Patricia Cangiano (Jim) and Kathleen Hamberger (Steven). He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is offering qualified families up to $9, 000 for funeral expenses incurred due to the death of a loved one from COVID-19. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused immense grief for so many people.
