He was predeceased by : his parents, Ethel Rebecca (Rowe) and Sylvester Josephus Palmer. He is survived by : his children, Sylvester Jay Palmer, Jr. and Sharon Munson (Lynn). He is also survived by 3 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren, and many cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Washington County, 1710 Underpass Way, Ste. 300, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
