It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Irene Warren of Smithsburg, Maryland, born in Chewsville, Maryland, who passed away on January 16, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold F. Lehman and Rhoda Pearl Lehman (Hoover); her former husband Gerald Alfred Warren; and her grandson Eric Scott Barnes. She is survived by: her husband Gerry; her children, Linda L. Kline (George) of Greencastle, PA, Barbara S. Barnes (Conway) of Smithsburg, MD, Carol A. Ganley (Steven) of Smithsburg, MD, Debra J. Eichelberger (David) of Clear Spring, MD and Jeffrey A. Warren (Melissa) of Fairplay, MD; her grandchildren, Marc Kline, Matthew Kline, Brenton Barnes, Shane Ganley, Cullan Ganley, Elizabeth Warren, Catherine Warren, Darrin Eichelberger and Derek Eichelberger; and her great grandchildren, Ethan, Alyssa, Hannah, Dylan, Olivia, Caleb and Wade.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is offering qualified families up to $9, 000 for funeral expenses incurred due to the death of a loved one from COVID-19. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused immense grief for so many people.
