With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Michael Richard Taber of Smithsburg, Maryland, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Michael left this world on January 28, 2025 at the age of 68, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Taber and Lucile Taber (Henry); and his brother Brian Taber. He is survived by: his daughter Amber McQueen (Steve); his granddaughters, Marcella Rose and Emma Marie; his daughter Alana Earp (Adam); his grandchildren, Easton Michael and Emmory Quinn; his sisters, Karen Crawford and Carol Tesla; and his siblings-in-law, Mike Tesla, Marie Jones and Tony Toms (Kelly Toms). He is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews and a tremendous number of friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jl Davis Funeral Home (12525 Bradbury Ave, Smithsburg, MD 21783). A memorial service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (13025 Greensburg Rd, Smithsburg, MD 21783).
In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
