It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Elizabeth Castle of Smithsburg, Maryland, born in Hagerstown, Maryland, who passed away on October 4, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Tillman Young Sr. and May Florence Young Powers (Davis); her siblings, May Rohrback, Shirley Gross, Alice Young, John Young, Richard Young, William Young, James Young and Fred Young; and her half-brother Ed Brown.
She is survived by: her daughters, Peggy Ridenour (Harold Ridenour Jr) and Vienna Moon (Phillip Moon); her grandchildren, David Ridenour (Bethany), Daniel Ridenour (Marissa), Steven Broussard (Jessica), Stuart Broussard (Ashely), Rhiannon Moon (Gavin) and Lachen Whittington (Ryan); and her great grandchildren, Bailey, Harper, Benjamin, Hannah, Samuel, Embyr, Kain and Jackson. She is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
