It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellen Vessa of Smithsburg, Maryland, born in Middletown, Maryland, who passed away on October 26, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Alexander and Lilly Alexander (Cooper); her husband Nicholas Clinton "Nick" Vessa; and her sisters, Betty, Anna Mae, Alice, Lorraine and Rachel.
She is survived by: her daughters, Deborah Kay Vessa and Barbara Ellen Vessa; her adoptive daughter Tracy Kendle (Barry); her grandchildren, David (Summer) and Kayla (Logan); her great grandchildren, Delainey, Calvin and Dawson; and her brother-in-law William C. Vessa (Sharon). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
