With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dennis Durst of Smithsburg, Maryland, who passed away on January 29, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edison Durst and Lula Bittinger; his wife Maureen C. Durst (Donahue); his granddaughter Nicole; and his siblings, Wayne, Mitch, Neal, Dick, Roger and Diane.
He is survived by: his children, Lee Michael Durst of Bethesda, MD, Timothy Loy Durst of Hagerstown, MD, Patricia Ann Drish of Hedgesville, WV and Deana Lynne Platter of Smithsburg, MD; and his siblings, Gary Durst of Jefferson, MD, Merle Durst, Donna Kay House of Ravena, OH, Judy Stanton of Accident, MD and Sue Peck of Meyersdale, PA.. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
