She was predeceased by: her parents, William Welch Barr and Edith Ray Barr Smith (Uhler); her husband Richard Merle Powell, Sr.; her son Richard M. Powell, Jr.; her son-in-law Arthur A. Morris; and her great grandchild Jonathan A. Hafner.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lottie Rae Morris of Smithsburg and Linda K. Wilson (Daniel) of Towson; her daughter-in-law Lynda R. Powell; her siblings, Virginia Kimes (Anna Mae), Charles E. Smith and Harry T. Smith; her grandchildren, Patricia J. DeLashmutt, Andrea R. Tracy (Todd), Sarah C. Morris (Faith Canon), Jeremy P. Wilson, Caitlin E. Tellie (Benjamin) and Joseph E. Powell (Kris); and her great grandchildren, Jordan A. Hafner, Elizabeth Tracy, Emma S. DeLashmutt, Cheyenne E. Powell, Joseph E. Powell, Jr. and Brighton W. Tellie.
