She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Ardinger, Sr. and Josephine Loretta Ardinger (Speaker). She is survived by: her husband John William Smith; her daughters, Carol Dieterich (Hillard) of Chambersburg, Christina Householder (Glenn) of Martinsburg and W. Va (Tina Kuhn); and her siblings, Miriam Shatzer of Hagerstown, Mickey Ardinger of Greencastle and Dolly Jones of Keedysville. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Carolyn's name to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. or to the Washington County Humane Society.
