She was predeceased by: her parents, Merle Smith and Florence Smith (Stevanus). She is survived by: her husband Elwood Leather; her sons, Douglas Leather (Peggy Bushey) and Wayne Leather (Jill); and her grandchildren, Meghan Leather (Felix Feng), Lauren Leather, David Leather and Matthew Leather.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the J. L. Davis Funeral Home (12525 Bradbury Ave, Smithsburg, MD 21783). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (13025 Greensburg Rd, Smithsburg, MD 21783).
