It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Jean Smith (Smithsburg, Maryland), born in Fairfield, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 6, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Emanuel McSherry and Georgia Manious McSherry of Indiana; her children, Pamela Lee Carey and William Gordon Dunn, II; her husbands, William Gordon Dunn and Nelson Paul Smith; and her sisters, Virginia Hammond of Dalton, Nebraska and Dora E. White (John) of Myrtle Beach, SC..

She is survived by: her daughters, Debra Ellen Harbaugh and Leah M. Stanfield (Michael); her great grandchildren, Amber Shelton, Hunter Shelton, Devon Shelton, Dakota Shelton, Connor Beck, Kaely Beck-Dunn and McKayla Chenoweth; and her sister K. Marlene Shafer (Preston) of Hagerstown, Maryland.. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
