He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Leatherman and Carrie Leatherman (Brandenburg); his wife Pauline G. Leatherman (Grossnickle); his siblings, Mehrle Leatherman, Gaither Leatherman, Franklin Leatherman, Annabelle Martin, Mildred Blickenstaff and Florence Doyle; and his daughter-in-law Joycelee Leatherman.
He is survived by: his sons, Harold E. Leatherman and Gene A. Leatherman (Candice); his siblings, Ernest Leatherman, Elwood Leatherman (Gladys) and Grace Moser; his grandchildren, Jason Leatherman (Brittney) and Kristy Hutzell (Tim); his great grandchildren, Lucas Hutzell and Olivia Leatherman; and his pet Toby. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
