He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas P. Brittain and Fannie Brittain (Wingo); his wife Mary Brittain (Watson); his siblings, Juanita Brittain, Martha Brittain (Copen), Judith Brittain (Barrett) and Arthur Edward Brittain; and his niece Deborah Barrett.
He is survived by: his son James F. Brittain; his grandchildren, James F. Brittain, Jr. (Mary Louise) and Terri L. Perrell (Tom); his great grandchildren, Tommy Perrell, Curtis Perrell (Sarah), JT Brittain, Mariana Brittain and Jenna Perrell; and also Diana Blalock (Dick).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Thomas P. Brittain, to Fisher House Foundation which provides support to families of fallen or disabled veterans.
