He was predeceased by: his wives, Carol Steinman Zilliacus and Saimi Zilliacus; his son Eric Zilliacus; his parents, Per Wilhelm and Margareta Zilliacus; and his stepparents, William E. Moore and Gunvor Zilliacus.

He is survived by: his son C. Patrick Zilliacus; his stepsons, Jonathan Steinman (Marcie Basson) and Peter Steinman (Sheri); his brother Patrik Wilhelm Jacob Zilliacus; his grandsons, Samuel, Douglas, Nathaniel, Nicholas, Noah Steinman, Dustin Baldwin (Elaina Aios) and Jared Witt; his great grandchild Emma Rose Baldwin; and his daughter-in-law Marcia Witt.
