With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sophia Wangui Kamau (Silver Spring, Maryland), who passed away on December 25, 2024 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Kang'acha Kamau; her father David Kirui Hiuhu; and her brother Godfrey Hiuhu Kirui. She is survived by: her children, Wangui Kang'acha (Silver Spring) and Kamau Kang'acha (Silver Spring); her grandson Christopher Kamau Wint (Chris); her mother Teresia Karagi of Kawangware; her siblings, Catherine Wanjiru Kuria, Peter Muthondu, Agnes Kariuki and Lucy Nyokabi Kirui; and her in-laws, Jane Hiuhu, Daniel Kuria and Isaac Kariuki.
Viewing was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at 70 University Blvd E, Silver Spring, MD 20901. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
