She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, George Hilbert and Alvina Hilbert; her children, Michael (Becky), Mark and Lisa Powell (Ken Powell); her granddaughter Lauren; her brother Jim Hilbert (Lenoir); her daughter-in-law Becky Gilliland; her brothers, Michael (Margie) and Don (Barbara); her brother-in-law Patrick (Patricia Gilliland); her siblings, Maurice and Gail Dismukes; her grandson Andy Gilliland (Kate); her great grandchild Hannah Gilliland; and her grandchildren, Sarah Mora (David), Kyle, Kody Gilliland and Eric Powell. She was also cherished by numerous nephews and nieces.
