It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Saintanie Florus (Silver Spring, Maryland), who passed away on January 12, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mariela Larose and Sainteleau Desormice; and her siblings, Sainteliane Desormice Charles, Celianie Desormice, Gesner Desormice and LaGrace Belzius.
She is survived by: her stepmother Christine Icart Desormice; her husband Maurice Joseph Florus; her daughters, Ketly Florus Hinojos and Shirley Florus; her son-in-law Gabriel Hinojos; her grandchildren, Eulalia Solana Hinojos, Gabrielle Hope Hinojos and Marco-Joseph Florus Hinojos; and her siblings, OJacques Desormice, CeGrace Belzius, Saintercile Desormice and Mecene Desormice. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Collins Funeral Home (500 University Blvd W, Silver Spring, MD 20901). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
