He was predeceased by: his wife Gwendolyn Vavasseur; his parents, Celina Mason and Joseph Mason; his sons-in-law, Melvin Bellamy and Gregory Spriggs; and his great grandchildren, Andrew and James.
He is survived by: his children, Robert, Gwena, Kenneth (Julia), Rosslyn, Karen, Gerri, Kerry (Kathleen) and Ramona (Craig). He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren, eighteen great-great-grandchildren, as well as a wealth of nieces and nephews.
