He is survived by: his siblings, Brian Michael Gardner, Robert Arthur Gardner Jr. and Maureen Patricia; his sons, Brendan Michael and Martin Alexander; his wife Cheryl; his son Marty; his grandchildren, Jorgia, Nikaila, Martin, Maya, Jamia, Noelle, Nicholas, Bella, Ava and Chloe; his great grandchild Noah; his brother-in-law John; his niece Jennifer; his nephews, Paul, Jonathan, John David, Matt and Aaron; his sisters-in-law, Lynne and Andie; his mother-in-law Jean; and also, Nneka and Charity.
