It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Noel Rene Benavides (Silver Spring, Maryland), born in Falfurrias, Texas, who passed away on April 13, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Alfredo Benavides (Fred) and Maria Julieta Duverney; and his daughter Diana MacDonald. He is survived by: his brothers, Jose Alfredo Benavides and Mario Lamar Benavides; his wife Darlene Benavides; his daughters, Julie Brown and Katherine Cordero; and his grandchildren, Krista, Sheri, Nicholas, Nichole, Jason, Jennifer and Kali. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
