It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Muriel Smarge of Silver Spring, Maryland, born in Whiteville, North Carolina, who passed away on August 29, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband John; and her siblings, Wingate Hooks, Jeri Sellers Outz, Nell Bass and Imogene Andrews.
She is survived by: her children, Jacquie, Jim and Jan; and her grandchildren, Allison, Janice and Jackie. She is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
