With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Rose Placanica of Silver Spring, Maryland, born in Wallingford, Connecticut, who passed away on August 26, 2023 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Rose Placanica to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Samuel Lewis Placanica; her parents, Edwin Goodrich and Mary Goodrich (Chappo); her son Thomas; and her siblings, Irene McMahon, Alice White, Dorothy Hodas, Edwin, Harold, Frank, John, Quentin, Richard and Roy Goodrich.
She is survived by: her children, Samuel J. Placanica (Mary), Marianne Valentine (Terry) and John Placanica (Suzanne); her siblings, Jean Stannard, Kathleen DeCorso, Mark Goodrich and Robert Goodrich; and her grandchildren, Samuel Linton Placanica, Michael Placanica, Hunter Valentine (Andrea) and Emily Valentine. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
