She was predeceased by: her husband William L. Howard, Jr.; her parents, Col. Charles Weller and Charlotte McCarthy; her brothers, Captain Thomas Weller McCarthy and Col. John Michael McCarthy; and her daughter Margaret Mary.
She is survived by: her children, Matthew Charles (Mason) and Jessica Anne; her brother Col Charles Peter McCarthy; and her grandchildren, Haleigh Marie, Justin Charles, Mary Carlyle, Matthew William and Michael James. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, nephews.
