“We were shocked and saddened to hear of Mae's passing. Our paths crossed in Nigeria where she was a good friend. We had plenty of laughter together. Our memory of her is her warmth, friendliness, sharp intelligence and unassuming nature. We have been far away in New Zealand but swapping Christmas wishes and friendship over the years.
