It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Mary Hamaty of Silver Spring, Maryland, who passed away on August 11, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her husband Nicholas Hamaty; her sons, Nicholas Hamaty Jr. (Maggie) and David Hamaty (Michiko); her sister Maryann Schenkel; her uncle Samuel; and her grandchildren, Nicholas, Rachel and Jack. She is also survived by numerous relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saints Peter and Paul Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church.
