He is survived by: his aunt Cherry; his son Brian Phillip; his wife Nina Robertson; his daughter Karenina Newell Scott (Ronnie); his granddaughter Karis Newell; his sister-in-law Beverly Robertson-Johnson; and his nieces and nephews, Jacqueline Adewole (Ola), Sefton Bass Jr., Michelle Boyer, Hilary "Hassan" Newell, Jr. (Jamelle), Anthony Robertson, Andree Lamar (Danny), Toni Robertson, Sidney Robertson (Nina), Jennifer Johnson and Billy Robertson (Markeisha). He is also survived by other great nephews, cousins, and friends.
