He was predeceased by: his siblings, Joseph McAteer and Jeannie McAteer Jones-Lantzy; and his brother-in-law Ron Snyder. He is survived by: his wife Laura "Peggy" McAteer; his daughter Charlotte; his son-in-law Warren Siegfried of Pittsburgh; his son James McAteer; his daughter-in-law Dr. Catherine Stober of Nashville, Tennessee.; his grandchildren, Benjamin Siegfried (Brigid), Michael Siegfried, Anna Siegfried, Morgan McAteer and Devin McAteer; his great grandchild Luke Siegfried; his siblings, Ellen Snyder and Cecily Enos (Ken); and his sister-in-law Deborah McAteer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
